Tips to deal with office Politics

How’s everybody weekend? Too bad, weekend always fly by so fast that you are back to face Monday Blues again. Never feel bad in facing with Office Politics. Remember in this world, everyone including the high flyers, management all have to face Office Politics during some part of their lives or even constantly through out their lives. This is nothing to be ashamed of. As long as you know how to handle it, you will be able to survive through.
Today, I would like to give some simple tips on how to deal with Office Politics. You may not be finding them useful now but somehow, during your working life, you might just need all these sound advices to get through sticky situations.
1) Never try to harm your colleagues or to get them into trouble. As there is a saying “What come around go around”.
2) Keep personal feelings separate from professional relationships. No matter how much you don’t like the co-workers or bosses. A good worker knows when to behave professionally during work. If you are able to smile, behave and work professionally when working together with the co-workers or bosses that you don’t like. You are a real winner. But if you have decided to show your unhappiness or frustrations to them, you are just falling into their traps as they can use these as excuses to degrade your work performances.
3) Do not underestimate anybody in the office. Remember, when time comes, even a very junior staff can help the management to solve the problems.
4) Try to find and form an alliance in the office. Find out whom you can trust and have common or similar objectives in the office. Get together and form a strategic alliance. It will benefit all of you in the long run.
5) Do not compare your salary or bonus with yr co-workers or allow others to compare and comment on yrs. It will only lower the morale in the office. If you feel that you deserve more, talk to yr direct boss or superior base on yr work performance and merits.
6) Maintain healthy relationships with yr boss and subordinates. Remember you cannot be running the whole show in the company. You need the supports from various parties in the office to achieve the best performance in yr career.
I would like to emphasis by sharing with everyone all my thoughts, encounters with Office Politics in this blog, it is not to to use this opportunity to humiliate the person. I just want to give some supports to all hard working people all over the world & want them to know no matter which part of the world you are in, what type of working environments, regardless which races and faiths you are having. You will bound to face with some of these people in yr working environments and by using some tips, you can either avoid to come into conflict with these people or take life as it is because we are facing all these problems. Remember, when facing with Office Politics. You are not ALONE.
